Seasonal Teas from Palais des Thés

As a regular tea drinker, I was pleased to discover that Palais des Thés, one of my favorite tea brands, recently introduced a new tea collection for the fall/winter season called the "Winter Gardens Collection."  When it comes to types of teas (green, black, white, oolong, rooibos, or naturally flavored teas), I'm not picky about the tea type but more so about the tea quality, and Palais des Thés is all about delicoius, high-quality, and expertly crafted teas. There are only two locations in the US, both in NYC - the flagship store in SoHo & a boutique on the Upper West Side. My favorite shop is the SoHo one, and I could stay there for hours....I slightly digress, but now back to the tea.

The Winter Gardens Collection is comprised of three new herbal tea blends: Forest, Festive, and Queen Gardens - plus two existing infusions: Oriental Garden and Garden of Dreams (not featured in the image below).  These additions were inspired by magical, imaginary gardens.  Think of enchanting, happy fairy tales and the ethereal beauty of the French countryside. You're transported there.  Those are the ideas and emotions that these teas evoke.

Consisting of delicate flowers, dried fruit, and aromatic plants with  fall/winter colors and flavors as its theme, the winter garden tea collection has  the best tasting herbal infusions available. All of the teas are caffeine free and contain no artificial flavorings. Aren't you glad there aren't any weird preservatives or chemical additions you can't pronounce and hardly know anything about? All healthy stuff here, and that's what I love about them. That gets an A+ in my book!

From left to right: Forest Garden, Festive Garden, and Queen's Garden tea blends.

The first: Forest Garden is an infusion of elderberry, raspberry & other berries (black currant, strawberries, etc) and high in antioxidants. One sip and you feel like you're strolling through the forest in the early fall. Next up: Festive Garden is a mix of seven different fruits and plants - the main flavors are orange peel, grape, and cocoa. Imagine the taste of a candy store on Christmas. This is what it's like. And the best for last (perhaps!): Queen's Garden is an herbal infusion of three different fruits and spices - apple, almonds, and cinnamon. Truly a tea that is fit for a queen!

Any of these tea blends can be enjoyed hot or iced during the day because they are caffeine free! Well...caffeine is wonderful and all, however our minds and bodies need a calming and soothing break from it. I'll be drinking a different one of these teas each night (alternating with my mellow greens, very low caffeine whites, and a Lapsang Souchong of my choice)  since I won't have to worry about not sleeping. Every now and then, we've got to try something new, and if it's good for our health then that is the number one reason for trying it in the first place.

This fall/winter season, I hope you'll try these comforting and delicious teas with your family and friends. Because as the sayings go, "Sharing is caring," and "Health is wealth." So, go on now -- spread the tea love and drink up!
